Uno-X pulled a new strategy out of the bag
Brandhouse created the brand platform for Uno-X and designed and developed the entire customer journey behind the Uno-X app. The Fuel in the Bag concept re-energised the brand and gave customers another reason to fill up at Uno-X quickly, easily and cheaply.
Brandhouse was all over the Uno-X app to make sure the customer journey went as smoothly as possible. And since it takes a lot of resources and large media budgets to get a new app up and running, we took a completely different approach and used both first party data and our own data intelligently in the launch. A TVC was waiting in the wings, but never aired.
With e-mails, split testing, lead generation, competitions, fuel giveaways, organic traffic, etc. we exceeded all expectations for the number of downloads. The app also got the necessary top rankings in the app stores, allowing customers to get their hands on fuel quickly. We went full throttle with price promotions, and the more we lowered the price – the more apps appeared on mobiles. Because while convenience makes a big difference to the customer journey, price is always an important pillar for Uno-X.
25% of Uno-X customers became app customers in one month. The app became the 4th most downloaded in the first few weeks.
